Age 93, on Saturday, September 17, 2016, retired Pittsburgh Firefighter and veteran of World War II Army Air Corps. He preceded in death, by one day, his dear wife of 73 years, Eleanor J. Moran; daughters, Carol Moran of Grapevine, TX and Claudia Moran and the late Richard Simoncelli of St. Louis, MO; granddaughters, Jessica (Thomas) Gershman of St. Louis, MO and Amelia Simoncelli of Seattle, WA; and great-grandson, Joseph Gershman. Ray loved his wife and his family and the Pittsburgh Fire Department. He was an honest, upright man with a great sense of humor and will be missed by all that knew him. (VISITATION AND SERVICE TIME CHANGED.) Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday only at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Ave., Pgh., PA 15220. Mass of Christian Burial at the Ascension Worship Site of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry St., Pittsburgh, PA 15205 on Thursday at 10 a.m. Entombent in St. Augustine Cemetery.
