Elizabeth J. "Betty" Klotz, age 92, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2015, with her daughters at her side at her home in Columbia, SC. Betty was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 16, 1922, the daughter of the late Myrtle and Albert Hintemeyer. She was a graduate of Langley High School, then began her career as a secretary at: HJ Heinz Co., West End United Church of Christ, Scott Traffic, PA State Highway Dept., and Allegheny County Controllers Office. A lifelong Christian, Betty was a member of: West End UCC, Emanuel United Methodist Church and McGregor Presbyterian Church. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Larry Klotz. She leaves behind to cherish precious memories: daughters, Karen (Al) Tidball of Orange Park, FL and Debbie (Chuck) Grabbatin of Columbia, SC; she was "Gram" to Ashley (David), Megan (Kyle), Brian (Blakely), Christopher, and Courtney (John); and GG to the "loves of her life", great- grands, Mila and Dylan; she will be missed by her lifelong best friend, Irene Kunkel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Schlieper; and infant brother, Albert Hintemeyer. The family would like to thank Palmetto Hospice Caregivers: Mary, Jackie, Erin, Joy and Rebecca for their compassionate care. Friends received 3-6 p.m. SUNDAY ONLY at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Committal Service and Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park on Monday at 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at McGregor Presbyterian Church in Irmo, SC.
