Of McCandless Township, died peacefully on December 23, 2017 at age 97. Sr. M. Rosalia was born August 26, 1920 and baptized Cecilia Catherine at Holy Innocents Church, Pittsburgh. Her father was born in Ireland and she proudly displayed her heritage both in wit and hospitality. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence on September 1, 1938. Sister Rosalia ministered as a nurse and was also involved in nursing education and administration for 34 years at St. John's Hospital, Braddock General Hospital and Divine Providence Hospital, all in Pittsburgh. She also taught in schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh and in Puerto Rico. From 1984 through 1993, she ministered with the Brothers of St. John of God in Apple Valley, California, in Pastoral Ministry and Mission Effectiveness. She then retired to Providence Heights and gave general assistance where needed. Sr. Rosalia received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing on June 1, 1954, and her Masters Degree in Nursing from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She is preceded in death by her parents Michael Caulfield and Cecilia Cannon Caulfield, her siblings John Caulfield, James Caulfield, Mary Caulfield Cain, Jean Caulfield Hergenroeder and infant triplets. Surviving are nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Providence Heights on Wednesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation on Thursday from 12-3 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 3:30 p.m. in the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA 15101. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Sisters of Divine Providence. Arrangements entrusted to ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC.
