Condolence & Memory Journal

I did not know Sister Anna Marie, but I understand that she was the last Principal of St. Joseph's Junior Military School that once was located at 1725 Lincoln Avenue. The Principals that I knew were Sister Roberta and Sister Mary Kenneth, and Sister Bertrand. I also remember fondly Sister Mary James, Sister Domitilla, and my first-and-second grade teacher, Sister Amada.
I am sure that those days and those wonderful ladies are gone, but their kindness and dedication have served me for a life-time.

I only learned recently about Sister Anna Marie's passing. I offer my prayers for her, and my condolences to all the Sisters of Divine Providence. Sister Anna Marie served me (and the Sisters) as sacristan so well during my 7 1/2 years as chaplain. We had many "friendly" arguments about the liturgy, and what I was doing wrong as priest. But her love of Jesus and her community never wavered. And I always saw her as a dear friend. May she rest in peace, and receive the reward in heaven she so richly deserves. Then she can clean things up in heaven's chapel.

May God grant eternal rest to Sr. Anna Marie. I remember her as a very young Sister at Sacred Heart grade school, where she taught my sister. She was a dedicated and successful teacher and a woman of prayer.

My sympathy to her brother and family.
