Tribute & Message From The Family

Age 88, of Crafton Heights, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Beloved husband of Dolores (Kierski) Lydon; loving father of Mary Diane of Florida, Stephen and the late William and Robert Lydon; two grandchildren; brother of William Lydon; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lydon attended Langley High School and the University of Pittsburgh, he was a retired fire captain for the City of Pittsburgh after 35 years of service, a member of the US Navy and the Merchant Marines, and a member of Ascension Roman Catholic Church. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday only at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Ave., Pgh., PA 15220. Mass of Christian Burial at the Ascension worship site of St. Philip Parish on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Dolores and family we all have fond memories of the stories we heard about jack as he hung out with the Ventura family. We had the privilege of meeting you both a few times. Know he and your family are in our thoughts and prayers . Just knowing he may be already united with tommy Lucy and Caroline and Phil and of course grandma branca may give you some comfort he's still with family and friends and will be waiting to greet the rest of us. Aunt Dolores, I am so sorry about your loss. Uncle Jack was a great man and he saved lives as a firefighter. We just want to celebrate his life for all of the wonderful things he has done.
